Meet your therapist
Meet Caroline, see if she would be a good fit for your journey and learn how she can help you.
Hi, I'm Caroline
she/her
I’m a psychosexual and relationship therapist, and I trained as a pluralistic therapist, which means I don’t work from a single fixed model of what therapy “should” look like. Instead, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and adapt them to you: your history, your circumstances, and what you actually need from our work together, rather than fitting you into a predetermined process. This tends to mean sessions feel less like following a script, and more like a genuine, evolving conversation.
Training and experience
- Diploma in Clinical Sexology & Relationship Therapy (COSRT)
- Placement with 56 Dean Street NHS sexual health and TransPlus GIS service
- Supporting refugees in the UK & abroad
- Fostering teenager who have been trafficked or sexually exploited
- Public health (15 years) drug & alcohol services and sexual health
- Welfare work with street homeless people
- Supporting survivors of sexual violence
My Approach
I studied with a gender, sexuality, and relationship diversity (GSRD) speciality, and this has been broadened with my experience working within NHS gender services, HIV services, and services supporting communities marginalised on the basis of sexuality. In past roles, I have also worked with refugees, survivors of trafficking, and people who have experienced the care system.
Together, this practice alongside my own life experiences, have given me a grounded, practical understanding of the particular pressures, histories, and joys that can come with being LGBTQ+, non-monogamous, kink-identified, or otherwise living outside more conventional relationship or sexual norms, as well as a wider sensitivity to how exclusion and instability in early life can shape relationships and sense of self. Clients who come to me with these experiences don’t need to explain the basics before we can get to the real work.
That said, this specialism doesn’t define who I see. I work just as happily with anyone facing difficulties in their relationships, their sex life, or their sense of self, whatever your identity, orientation, or relationship structure. What matters most to me is that together we can build a space where you feel seen, and able to explore your own life, desires, and future.
What you can expect from working together:
- A space that’s confidential, unhurried, and led by your pace
- Straightforward, non-judgemental conversation about sex, intimacy, identity, and relationships
- An approach shaped around you and a dedication to understanding how we can build a space together that feels safe for you explore
- An acceptance of who you are, not just the parts that are easy to show the world
- Genuine familiarity with less mainstream experiences
My practice is grounded in anti-oppressive and decolonial values. This means actively working against the assumption that any one culture, identity, or way of relating is the "default" against which others are measured, and staying alert to the ways therapy itself can unintentionally reproduce those assumptions.
